Meet the Milady Team

Lisha Barnes currently serves as the Academic Development Manager for Milady. She is responsible for developing and delivering academic and business programs for the Cosmetology Industry. She is a licensed cosmetologist, instructor, and barber and is committed to improving the quality of cosmetology education. She received a Bachelors of Science in Communications from Eastern New Mexico University.

Lisha completed her cosmetology training at Olympian University of Cosmetology, where she also served as Administrator for two campuses for over ten years. She is a former Director of Education for a chain of Cosmetology schools.

Barnes is a former NACCAS Commissioner, a member of Cosmetology Educators of America and has worked on numerous writing projects for Milady.

She teaches educational seminars for The Career Institute, where her experiences in education, communications and administration add insight to her presentations.

Patti Wanamaker currently serves as an Academic Trainer for Milady. She is responsible for delivering academic and business programs for the Cosmetology Industry. Her intimate understanding of the salon/school/beauty industry comes from 17 years of hands-on experience, includes 8 years of salon/spa ownership, co-owner and co-manager of three salon locations with an annual sales of $5 million. She has 6 years experience as a multi-faceted, training specialist within the industry, specializing in customer relations, increasing the bottom line and creating client loyalty. Her experience in all three areas of our industry creates a well-rounded background as a trainer.

Author, consultant, educator and award winning stylist, Julie Shepperly has a wealth of experience as an educator and consultant for some of the leading names in the industry. Julie is particularly skilled at engaging and motivating her captive audiences worldwide. Her passion and enthusiasm for serving and supporting individuals to reach their full potential drives her every action. For over 17 years Julie has developed and delivered hundreds of programs specifically designed to unleash ones own personal power, profit and potential! It is through her genuine enthusiasm, honest commitment and bottom-line approach that Julie Shepperly ranks as a favorite of favorites among salon and spa business owners and technicians.

With over 10 years experience in new business start-ups and transformations, Ana Loiselle is a specialist in finding new sources of revenue and growth for salons and spas of all sizes. She has already helped numerous businesses flourish through creative — and powerful — new solutions; including brand development, strategic financial planning and employee training.

Ana's background includes a long career in the salon/spa industry as a product sales representative, educator, management consultant, and spa owner. Her leadership foresight was influential in making her former business, Anna Luis Salon & Day Spa a two time National award winner of Salon Today's Top 200 Fastest Growing Salons.

She holds a license in both cosmetology and aesthetics, making her more then just a consultant but a true mentor and coach.

Joining the Company in 2002, Steve’s experience as a business trainer spans over a decade. With a background in marketing and promotions, Steve is personally responsible for assisting thousands of salon and spa professionals with accelerating growth through business trainings, specifically targeting increased sales and profits. A favorite industry trainer, Steve is known for an upbeat, detail driven, and informative educational format, which enables salon and spa professionals to employ results-oriented internal growth and development strategies.

April has carved a place for herself in the industry as a stylist, trainer and coach. Once a business consulting client herself, April integrated Milady’s proven systems within her business, growing her annual sales to more than $175,000. As a consultant and trainer, April’s personal experience in the industry allows for an authentic bond with her clients. She brings genuine passion, humor and commitment to everything she engages in and her command of business knowledge and experience make April an ideal salon and spa business trainer and consultant.
